              PROLOGUE;

Alexander Gideon Lightwood is the older brother of Isabelle and Max Lightwood as well as the adoptive brother and Parabatai of Jace Herondale. A parabatai is a pair of Nephilim warriors  (shadowhunters) who fight together as lifelong partners, bound together by oath, regardless of their gender. Their bond is not reflected only in their closeness and willingness to lay down their lives for one another, but also in oath - one sworn in front of the Council. Known as the best shadowhunters of their angelic race; Both of them have been through thick and thin and light and dark with each other. Alec means more than his life to him. And Jace means more than anything to him in this world and beyond. One cannot imagine life without each other. These fanfictions are different compared to the original TMI series. Most of these scenes are made up.

The first rays of sunlight cascaded through the glass ,lighting the room with a warm glow.

Alec opened his eyes and went over to the high panelled thick glass windows , determined to witness the beginning of all creations.
With a smile, he  made up his bed. The hallways of the New York Institute was isolated at that time. Nobody usually woke up this early.

Its ears pricked up, listening to the footsteps that followed, realising it was only Alexander, he went back to sleep.
Cherishing the peace alone, Alec left the door ajar.
Picking up his exquisite bow and loading his quiver with his standard feathered arrows , he started practicing far-away targets in every position. Although he succeeded in every aim, he was not satisfied, at least not yet.
Far across the room was a forsaken dummy (made of a thick material which duplicates the thick skin of forsakens ) hanging 10 feet above the wall. Only the outline of the huge, bulky, lumpy mass was visible due to the dull lighting.
He tied a blindfold to his eyes , challenging himself further and leaped in the air and fired six arrows in one swift movement.
The piercing shafts severed the dummy in many places.
The head had fallen with a dim thud on the polished marble floor.
Satisfied with the produced sound, he opened his blindfold.
At the corner of his eye, he saw someone watching him steadily in the half lit hallway. Strange, he hadn't  noticed it before. Cautiously turning away from his target, Alec looked at the person in the hallway. And immediately his breath was taken away.
As he stared, more light poured into the hallway, illuminating the shadowhunter in gold.

His shock of golden hair was rumpled and standing out in different sides.
He was all angles, chiseled, lean, muscular, blonde and had a strange aura of awe around him.
Getting back his composure, Alec opened his mouth to speak, but the words seemed to be lost.
Acknowledging the silence , the golden boy spoke; "That was a one great shot at archery, I've never seen somebody so dedicated to practice during the early hours".
"Jace". It left as a whisper from his mouth.
"Yeah, that's definitely me, nobody else has his incomparable beauty".
Grinning he approached Alec, his swift movements barely visible.
"And I thought I was the early bird"; Alec muttered.
"Its six already,lets get breakfast".
"But aren't we the only ones awake and-"
"I heard you can make pies".
"Yes- ;Alec said with a proud smile
-But you cannot have PIE for breakfast.."
"Alec anybody can have pie at anytime" said Jace with a hopeful face
"Fine. I too would rather have pie than consume the things made by Izzy, if it can even be called food".
